MATTED COAT REMOVAL & DE-MATTING
Mats aren’t just unsightly – they’re painful for your pet and can hide serious skin infections. We specialize in safe, humane mat removal.
Understanding Mat Severity:
Light to Moderate Mats:
- Carefully worked out with de-tangling spray
- Mat splitter tools and fine combs
- Patience and gentle technique
- Usually can save the coat length
Severe Matting:
- Shaving is often the kindest option
- Matted fur pulls skin tight (very painful!)
- Can hide hot spots, infections, parasites
- We prioritize your pet’s comfort over aesthetics
Life gets busy, and we understand! Many of our matted coat clients become our most loyal regular customers once we get them back on track.
We offer dog grooming, cat grooming, self-service wash, nail trimming, pet supplies and other special services as well.
We do not administer any sedatives or medications – only veterinarians can do that legally. However, if you have sedation prescribed by your vet, please let us know the dosage and timing. For extremely aggressive pets, we may recommend veterinary grooming with sedation.
Yes! We regularly groom pets with amputations. We'll provide extra support and positioning to keep them comfortable and stable during grooming.
Most anxious or difficult pets are included in our standard pricing. Only in extreme cases requiring significantly extended time or two-person handling throughout might there be an additional fee, which we'd discuss upfront.
If a pet becomes too stressed or aggressive, we'll stop immediately and discuss options. This might include: splitting into multiple sessions, recommending training/desensitization, or referring to veterinary grooming. Your pet's wellbeing comes first.
Yes! Our groomers are professionally trained and certified. We also maintain fear-free certifications for gentle, stress-reducing handling.
